MT09 Touring

Fly I already have the FZ1000 Fazer @bisexual@ bike as you put it which is great and I use it for touring Europe no problem (and the odd track day), I just thought the MT would be a bit of fun few days in Wales

Anyway off to Wales on Sunday, will let you know how comfortable it is after 700 or 800 miles in 3 days

Well need a couple of changes of clothes for a 10 day tour around Europe, and of course a few tools and waterproofs. You actually dont even notice the weight. its just like having a really light passenger. That was my first trip in 2010, looks more like this nowadays.

Still only about an extra 25kg, which is not noticable

wow! looks like you packed a smart car back there just in case it rained :)

The Fazer is great, and I will change it for a later model (ABS maybe) next year as it has now done over 25K. Tried the Fazer 8, but miss the extra 50 BHP. Modded this a little with filter, Akra & Power Commander. Now runs 161 at the back wheel. The MT is a great bike but cannot quite match this one for top end rush.

There was a couple of FZ1's on the ride-out Wednesday night and they hack along at a rate of knots lol. One of them spent most of the ride-out on the back wheel at ridiculous speeds... was a great night lol

So, just back from my 3 day 700 mile tour of Wales. I took of the NRA screen for the trip (as I found it was moving a bit to much for me) and used the small Yamaha one, also used the standard Yamaha seat, with no problems even on 200 mile plus days.

The bike performed perfectly, great fun in the mountains and just as good on the fast A roads, it was even good on the Bristol to Reading (90 mile) section of the M4 in the rain on the way home tonight. Although I can notice my neck is a bit stiff now.

Brilliant Trevor I'm off to Ireland at end of week for a few days up north and over to Eire in North west on mine. Can't wait!

Sent from my mind using my fingers
