G2 Throttle Tamer Info & Review

G2 ordered let u now when it arrives and is fitted
Well....
I now join those with the G2 installed. Didn't get any customs payments
Fitted it this morning. Just a note to say, it doesn't fit oxford heated grips 'out the box' i had to file down the inside of the oxford grip for it to go over the diamond grip pattern on the G2 tube which is a slightly larger diameter than the stock tube. It certainly makes a big difference to the bike and confidence to ride it. I was in A mode around town this afternoon and the new throttle response and control is fantastic. Personally i feel i have a fair amount of transmission slack, which causes a bit of a 'snap' when you come off/on with the throttle. Obviously that isn't cured, but the whole thing is much less dramatic. Then of course whilst your on the throttle its much more manageable and much less dramatic at low speeds. I actually got caught out by a wheelie for the first time since i got it really, it allows a much smoother throttle input that sort of lets you forget (for a moment) how much power this bike has!!! I was also going faster than normal too......not sure this modification will be good for my licence All in all I'm very impressed with the product and thanks again to [MENTION=390]RipGroove[/MENTION] for sorting all this out !!! I shan't be pursuing an ECU flash or PCV any longer!!!

Fitted last week, huge improvement! Much more confidence in the throttle response and like rocket said not really any need to go down the ECU route anymore unless it's really bugging you...
Just ordered mine today. Can't wait to get it on the bike with everyone giving it the thumbs up!

Right, I've tested my G2 throttle tamer. I can't understand why anyone would say it's good because............................ It's fekkin awesome.
I've been in A mode all morning, before I couldn't use A, only STD on open roads and B everywhere else.
Been pulling wheelies overtaking stuff and generally screaming like a girl everytime I've pinned the throttle.
OK it hasn't changed the fuelling but gone are the big jerks, much, much, much more controlled throttle openings.
Got to be the best £64.05 you can spend on this bike (Apart from an £85 SR seat

Hi I have been reading all the way through deciding on DNA filter, G2, DNA Filter, followed you and ordered G2,
Special thanks to Rip Groove, hope its easy to fit as I am no Engineer,
G2 Dead easy to fit...just follow the instructions on page 1. Very well worded and put together by mr Ripgroove.

I'm thinking it's improved it a bit again, so with the DNA filter and the G2 Throttle Tamer it's about 85 - 90% of what I'd like it to be.
Cleaned it up nicely around town though.
I'm thinking a TPS reset or adjustment will give me the last 10-15% I'm looking for, I just have the smallest of moves from full off before it responds.
At least this should stop me having to ride the clutch out of tight from at a stop corners around town.
Just need the temperature to warm up a bit and we'll hit some twisties to find out for sure.

What made you go for the Y300 cam (15% smaller than stock) rather than the default Y400 (20% smaller than stock)?

Basically just reading what different people were saying about it on the different forums and how it might effect different riding styles and being mainly road riding, bit a of a punt really.
After fitting the DNA it was pretty close to right as well.
I was tempted to buy one of their multi cam ones and experiment but money's a bit tight presently.

Can't hurt to try it. Personally my bike is super smooth now with the G2 & EJK fuel controller both fitted so I won't be getting a filter.
Should be much improved, when fitted go to the same road and compare.
