Hi all has anyone fitted the DNA air filter to their bike. If so did you notice any performance gain - without having to re-map - and was it awkward to fit.? Seems like you need to take the tank off?! Any advise or threads would be great, many thanks :)
Hello Unsterbliche

Yes, love neked bikes!! And this bike is really awesome.
I've had it for a little over a week now (900km) and haven't had any issue with it. It hasn't stalled once. The only problem I have with it is that it is really hard not to give in and wheelie away from every robot!!!
Mine is the only 07 in the entire Cape province, so there's no one I can ask about stalling.

I noticed you are also coming from the cbr250r. Great bike that, I had mine for 2 years before a fkn scooter helped me to practice sliding down the N1! It was a write off, so I got the 07.
You don't have to worry about the difference in power. you'll notice it on your first pull away, but it won't overpower you at all if you take it easy for a day or two.

You definitely won't regret getting it! Its a (almost) hundred grand well spent!!!!!
Hey Kanonnier, awsum to see another South African who's into naked bikes, especially the MT-07. I'm planning on buying mine next week (in race blue) as soon as my current bike is sold, but those stalling issues everyone is talking about has me very worried!!! I contacted Linex Yamaha in Randburg and they said that no one in SA has had issues yet. Have you hear of anyone in SA having stalling issues?

How many roads must a man walk down ?
Only just noticed this... Sorry.

I'm Bournemouth based but oddly enough just about to set off for Hive Beach (near West Bay). Without the bike though camping in the van and (hopefully) catching some Mackerel for breakfast off the kayak.

If you get bored, pop down and say hello. Van is pretty obvious as it has the Cerne Abbas Giant as my company logo on it.

Otherwise... Sure we'll catch up for a rideout soon.

going out for birthday meal tonight mate so a no go.should make a habit of logging on when visiting site so i can pick up any messages. another time for sure!
Where abouts in dorset are you mate. Thinking of going down to west bay one weekend. A meet for the local riders is a good idea. Sure we can get something sorted. Like your picture in the water. Done some off roading myself but a long time ago. 59 now and knees shot from playing too much footy, so panic dabs a no no. Loved it though and good experience for road riding. Hope to catch up soon mate.
