What action cameras do you all use please ?


techno stuff isnt my thing but ill say to anyone thinking of a gopro that the sound is total SHITE. ive effed around trying to find a good position to get the engine sound without loads of wind roar and vice versa. i just spent a few hours doing underwater stuff holding the camera mount on 1 hand while snorkelling and it will pick up any movement on the casing but nothing else.
im sure i wasnt wearing a gladiators tin helmet when i made this clip but it sounds like that on my pc...

had Drift HD170 Stealth
got Drift HD720

both shite picture quality in comparison to others but the mounts and rotating lens trump the competition for versitility (IMHO)

next Sony AZ1VR
 
GoPro 3 silver for me but don't go for the cheap model.
You need at least 60FPS as mine does 1080P at 30FPS and tears all the time so I have to run it at 720P to get the 60FPS and it's much smoother.
Also where you mount it makes a difference, on my old helmet I tried on the side but the drag pulls your helmet to one side and is literally a pain in the neck.
So I moved it on top and it was great, very stable and minimal drag.
Then I swapped to a new helmet and didn't want to mark it and couldn't find a suitable mount point, so tried on the handle bars and on the tank, but the rattling/shake was too much.
So now have moved it to the new helmet with a side mount/with arms that brings into to the front chin area and is ideal fro my commute.

Also think about the cards as I have a 32GB SANDISK which is way too much, the battery dies before the card fills up so don't go too big or like me buy a couple of spare batteries.
