what about a MT-09 owners meet.

Does there have to be dozens of attendees to constitute a meet? Even a handful of bikes on a nice ride out one sunny day is a great idea.

It can be as many as you want. I've had meets with one or two members at the ace cafe before.

True but if it is bike specific, surely you would want to meet forum members and to do that is it not better to try and have a national meet, over a weekend?
What you are saying Fulfilled-09 just sounds like a Sunday morning ride out with a few mates.
My first weekend meet with the SX forum started out with two lads from Ireland I had never met in my life stopping with my wife and I on a Thursday night. They did not know each other either, Jon form Dublin and Lionel from Belfast.
On the Friday we rode up to Maccelsfield from Hoylake, Wirral. There were 18 of us at that meet lads from all over England a few from Wales & Scotland and Ireland. This formed the hard core for the meets from there on in. We were all strangers but are now all mates and others have joined over the years.
Some like me have moved on from the SX as have others but we still all do our best to get to the April and now also the September meets.
TT can you talk this idiot through how to set up the poll in such away as folk can vote on their preferred date and area. Can we set it up for the last two weekends in September and the first two weekends in October? I think it is to late now to try for a national meet in April. If we go for the September/October dates and it is posted on the forum we can give the thread a bump now and then to see if we get increasing interest.

I will do my best on my iPhone as I'm led in a hospital bed at the moment lol. So what dates do you want on the poll? Give me 4 possible dates and I will set it up
I don't care if it's a day's ride or a weekend meet, just happy to be on my bike, riding with other enthusiasts.

I just spotted the thread on beware of ice, have posted on the thread , get well soon, I am sure an annual meet is not to the fore front of your mind just now Ritchie. Just stay positive , remember the mess Ian Hutchy was in a couple of years ago. He bagged a few wins at the 2015 TT. Good luck and heal well.

An attempt was made last year, but as we are scattered all over the country it was difficult to arrange and was swiftly abandoned as TT has mentioned (well, sort of).. A meet at Stratford on Avon was suggested, but interest was lacking...
I hope someone would do one, i plan to do a little tour of the west coast, somerset, dorset, circling back to the midlands, would be good to meet on the way... Or incorporate it...

Good point. Would need to middle England, so Northamptonshire region.
Ok so I will try and set up a poll for the 4 weekends in September. Friday to Sunday or just Saturday and Sunday?
Sat and Sun might be the safer option for most.
