Scamaha does it again....!

I'm just about to head back on ferry from a long weekend and a few hundred miles around North and NW of Ireland with the SR seat on.
It's hard. Very. But not uncomfortably so
I don't know how much more comfortable it is over the oe seat but it does look better! I did feel it slightly narrower so in that sense easier to move around bike on. If Triple Trouble didn't get the deal he did I most likely wouldn't have one but I see it as an investment when selling the bike on.

id see it as a good little earner if you stuck it back up for sale!
it is hard tho.........right on the bit that hurts when you ride a pushbike.......and did you notice your sack getting hot as if it had an underseat exhaust? i keep thinking im on a street triple when me nuts get hot.......that wont be too nice over there as they'll be frying.......:(

Ok so this is the "official" reason for the seat not being available to us at the price we were paying.....!

Sam has sent me this email and asked me to put it on the forum to
Clear up any doubts/questions or queries. It goes a little something like this......

Hi Richie,

Could you put out a statement from me about the seat scenario please on the forum,

The part number provided to me should not have been used in the UK, it is a part number from a kit that hadn’t been released to the UK yet hence the price not being set up properly by Yamaha Uk.

The orders I placed took the actual stock Yamaha had for their new Street Rally so potentially we took stock for the bike’s due to be coming out to dealerships. The seat was part of an exclusive kit and as the bikes are not released yet the part should not have been either.

Naughty Sam.

So there u have it folks. Straight from the dealerships mouth so to speak.....
