Can't really find a good use for a quickshifter. Other than.. well.. shifting up quickly obviously 
But don't think it's that much of a joy for 'normal' rides. But I could be wrong

Quick shifter is usually excellent ON A TRACK where every millisecond counts. On the road will do bugger all except give you another thing to go wrong ( remember no traction control as well). The MT gearbox is so good it wont help much unless your throttle/shift technique is a bit rusty. Had one I put on an ER6N and as the track was very short and tight ( never got into 5th or 6th gear), Ended up taking it back off as my times stayed pretty much the same. Prob make a difference on a track where it could stretch out a bit though. If you drag race they are essential.
