Excellent mod painting your muffler flat high temp black!
BTW are you able to post pictures of your niner before and after the muffler mod? I mean a full niner picture...

Also, did you had to prime and bake the muffler to get it cured?
Did you need to use new gaskets for reassemble?

What pictures is concerned, I am wayting for dry weather.
I used Motip 800 degrees heat resistant paint. Technical sheet says to NOT apply primer.
I used a 3m scotchbrite pad to rough it up.
I made a 3 sided chamber of textile with a terras heater in the middle. After painting I closed the chamber with a 4th sheet of textile and left the muffler in this chamber for 2 hours. Temperature? I think about 45 degrees c.
The day after I mounted the exhaust and started the engine. I let it run for about 10 minutes.
The day after I went for a 100 km ride in dry conditions. After an inspection everything looks ok.

Gaskets came out in 1 piece, so I used them again. A bit hard to put and hold them in place when I mounted the exhaust,.
The result? Yes ....... just what I had in mind.
Coast? 12,95 euro.

I adjusted the preload in front to 4 rings visible.
In the rear I changed the preload 1 position. This is 5th position from 0.
Now wait for the rain to go away so I can have a testdrive.

I don't like to have a bike like everyone else.

I ordered a transparant set to protect my tank here Lackschutzfolie für Motorräder, Lackschutz und Felgendekor
I also ordered black 5mm fluo rimspriping to make my bike more visible from the sides and the back.

I used 5mm black fluo rimstriping for some extra visibilty in the dark

This is a picture of what my rear wheel did this week.
I noticed the gravel far to late, and the rear wheel stepped 50cm to the left.
I first took a nicotine shot en went back to look how Lucky I was.
She tryed to flip me of like a wild bronco.
At this point I came out of a corner, and the bike was still under angle.
I'm glad I have 35 years of experience in my pocket.
