CCT rattle - to ride or not to ride.....


Thanks for the link just printed that out. Going on Tuesday to get my CCT changed, I wonder if the dealer has this info? Ah the power of the internet.
 
Got my bike back today and finally have the new CCT fitted. Bike is quieter now. I asked to see the old unit that came out. Looked okay at first but when you tried to compress the plunger and spring it was solid.The mechanic then backed of the adjusting screw and you could then pump the spring in and out. I thought um!! then he pumped it a few times and it stuck with the spring compressed , pumped again and it freed up so reckon it was bollocked. My feeling is if you have one like this I would be worried.
