156 how did the bike feel was it still pulling ?
It will pull all the way up to about 162-165 bud
Do I read this rightly, if you've had yammie do the free re-flash and you are not satisfied, you can then get Simons flash?
That's the theory lol. Obviously if u get the aftermarket flash u can't go back to yamaha and get them to flash over the top of it as they will say that they've already flashed it once lol
Is Simon's aftermarket flash set up with the bike on a rolling road? Just wondering if I send my ECU will it not just be a generic flash and not specific for my bike? Forgive my stupid questions but this is all new to me. Has anybody else sent their ECU to get the flash done? I'm sure it's all cosha but I'm feeling a tad nervous about posting my flash to a stranger.

That's not a stupid question at all, a true custom map should be done on a dyno. Simons flash seems to be generic in the sense that it is not tuned to the actual bike but custom in the sense that it can be tuned for different exhaust setups and gives you other options also. So really I'd say it was semi-custom.

Ok so as I've said many many times in this thread. The flash is all about unlocking the goodies for the MT. If u read back to the beginning u can see wot those goodies are...
Yes it's a good idea to Dyno the bike but only if u are having a map loaded onto the ecu as well. Simon has flashed and loaded a map on quite a few bikes now (mine included)! and they have been absolutely spot on.
Just a thought for u.....when u get the "yamaha official map flash" do they Dyno it as well to make sure it's ok??? No they don't. We have maps for the titanium Akrapovič, carbon Akrapovič, two brothers S1R carbon etc. I've tried all those maps on my bike as I've had all 3 systems lol and they are all spot on...!

Yeah. I guess you are right about the new Yam flash not been rolling roaded. I guess my only other concern is posting my ECU. If I send it registered post will you guys send it back the same way? Cheers. Can you PM me all the details please TT? I'm offshore at the moment so it will not be for another couple of weeks.
Yes of course we will send it back the same way. U will be responsible for sending it by whatever means u deem safest and u will also know how much that will cost when uv done it from ur end so that's how much u will need to add onto the £183 so we can send it back to u. I will pm u all the details so u can arrange this at ur convenience mate. Wot u doing off shore then? Lol

Hi TT. I'm still looking to get Simon's flash done i the new year. Just read this....my bike has ABS does this mean it can't be flashed? Surely this is a joke?.....what has the ABS got to do with it?...
I believe it's because an ABS hasn't been tested yet so it's ill advise to get it done until they are sure it will be ok. Will keep u all posted
I see said the blind man. I thought it was a wind up. So is there history behind the flash effecting the ABS on other bikes. Is it to do with sensitive electronic gizmos?
