    Cannot get insurance

Hi guys! I was all happy that would buy a MT09-Tracer and started looking for insurance and found out on websites like gocompare and calling MCE that they won't insure me with this bike. I though that this is a bit weird since they would insure me with bigger bikes, more expensive bikes and...

My Mrs made some comment about how much I spend riding bikes. I did some man maths.

Interesting this. I use my MT07 mostly to commute, and occasionally at weekends. I use my R1 for weekends, and occasionally to commute. I could have just one bike of course, but I like having a spare, it's 2 hours to get to work from where I am on public transport, the bike is less than an...

Is the MT-07 really like a modern day RD 400 (1976-1978) or RD 350 (1980-82)?

:) I thought I would ask MT-07 owners if the MT-07 is really like a modern day RD 400 or RD 350? Being a 2007 ER-6F owner I think the MT-07 is the bike for me if it is like those bikes I described because I had a 1977 Yamaha RD 400, and that was and still is my favorite bike. I'm concerned...

    Hi There

As I've got an MT-09 ordered for March I thought I'd join the forum! I've been a lifelong biker starting on dirt bikes, then trials, then eventually getting a road licence. I've had lots of different bikes over the years from trailies, road bikes, sports bikes, commuters and currently have an...

    Newbie

Hi guys, just joined as I bought a new mt09 last week, so far loving it with a 1000 clicks knocked up in the first week. Not able to really crack it on yet but so far loving the triple torque. Not many here in HK as they don't like big bikes, no problem more for me :-)

    Rear Brake

Can anyone help? Had a puncture in my rear tyre. Took the wheel out and had it repaired and refitted the wheel with no issues. However the rear calliper does not want to line up properly and I cant get the brake to pump up. The calliper is not square and rocks rather than slides on the pins. If...

    Deal Done

Deposit placed on a new MT09 in blue.:) For me the blue is the best of a bad bunch of colours. The wide & narrow stripes on the tank didnt do anything for me. Arrives in a week or so. All I need now are some fine days for a good ride out into the Yorkshire Dales. That reminds me, running in...

    Oil consumption

I am thinking about an MT-09. I have owned a number of non-Japanese bikes, a BMW R1100GS, KTM 950 Adv, Buell Ulysses, and they all used a fair amount of oil between oil changes. None of the Japanese bikes I've owned have used a drop. Does the MT-09 use any? I'm rather hoping not.

    New Member in Sussex

Hi Group. Three weeks ago I bought an MT-07 from another forum member, GAZ2212. It has been extensively and thoughtfully modified, regardless of cost and I am now benefitting from the experience and competence of Gary, the previous owner. You are probably aware of this bike, since Gary has...
