I have an actual on off switch there, a red sliding one like the start switch on the other side hmmmmmmmm
If that's the case then Yamaha have used 10 year old switch gear, or at least the switch has been manufactured to a 10 year old design.Partridge, this is a switch for lights and has 3 positions when is installed: 1)lights off, 2)position lights (the two small at the edges of front light) and 3) lights on.
All the motorcycles that released in E.U. must have the lights on even on daytime for safety traffic reasons, after 2003.... The years before this wasn't obligated.
So, when our lights are on day & night, the being of this swtich is not necessary.... and in the place of switch now there is a black plastic cap.
