I dont think he was having a go, rather just stating that a particular word isnt used as frequently these days with the newer generation so was requesting that people stop using it out of concern for others - if they dont then thats up to them.
Anyway, back on topic - Ive always had mixed feelings of hand guards on this bike - hand guards for me are for dirt bikes and motards - this does have a bit of motard like styling but I feel Id lose a bit of its clean looks...

I have many friends who are "gay" and when asked how they wud like to referred to they say.. Im gay so refer to me as such please.
I was considering on buying the SW MOTECH guards but I'm not so sure I like them anymore.

I think what he meant is not to use the word in the slur/derogatory sense - refering to a gay person as being gay he doesnt have a problem with.

I just get really cold hands through bad circulation and without hand guards and heated grips I couldnt hold onto the bars. Winter riding is now out of the question. FYI no gay or ethnic tenancies included.

Just for the record my mate has a gay son and he still uses the word gay as does his son , in uk teenagers use the term as something thats a bit crap its not ment to be taken seriously , its like theres an offence police around nowadays that think its there duty to point out "offensive " words etc , surely its one rule for all in a democracy and we live in a free democracy , is it right that if you burn a bible nothing will happen but if you burn a quran you can go to jail , its all got out of hand in this country now in my opinion.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine mirdif , DR 350 off road , slow speed over the bars . aluminium barkbusters. Also doubled up as wrist snappers ! I was there.....grim
