    Moto Cage Screen

"Waist of money" lol :D I agree though, I'm averse to screens for the MT-07. I think they spoil the look and are over-priced (purely my opinion though).

    Moto Cage Screen

Wow     You'd have to crazy like it for that price. Out of interest I've just phoned my Yamaha dealer to get the official price for the same Moto Cage fly screen as in that eBay listing (part number 1WS-F83J0-10-01) and they quoted £200, so in that sense you got a...

    Tank Cover

What you are experiencing here is a physical phenomenon called red-shift and blue-shift. Waves emitted from a moving object are subject to the Doppler effect, most known for its effect on sound waves. When the object is moving towards you the sound waves 'bunch up' causing a higher frequency...

Goodbye ugly mirrors, hello Rear View Camera

I considered Bluetooth, however communication speed is far slower than wifi. It has got faster with Bluetooth LE but I suspect video would still be very laggy. In all honesty having used the camera for a week now there is no problem with the wifi dropping out. If I set out from home I don't even...

Post a picture of your MT-07

The bike certainly looks good from this angle.

    MT-07 Cafe Racer

Yeah but I prefer the looks of the one in the OP :p

MT 07 Tracer - what do you think, good or bad

I prefer the naked MT-07 and MT-09, I'm not a fan of the Tracer look. I would, however, jump at the chance of owning one of these: http://www.motorcycle-talk.net/forum/mt-07-fz-07-general-discussion/748-mt-07-cafe-racer.html?highlight=Cafe+racer

Goodbye ugly mirrors, hello Rear View Camera

Noggie, you've raised a very fair point, but personally I feel the brake light is hardly affected. In the middle there seem to be an additional 3 rows of 3 LEDs and a single additional LED at the bottom for the brake light as shown below: O O O O O O O O O ... O Only the top row is covered and...

Goodbye ugly mirrors, hello Rear View Camera

You've raised some good points bypasser, so thank you. I'll have to try the Wi-Fi issue, but I thought the iPhone would only re-connect to a known hotspot if either the existing connection was lost or possibly weaker than the known hotspot. On the basis that the phone's connection to the Wi-Fi...

Goodbye ugly mirrors, hello Rear View Camera

Yeah, losing the mirrors makes filtering a breeze - no more potential clashing with wing mirrors. I did look at waterproof mounts and there are many available, but in the end I decided to mount the phone naked :o as I'm mainly a fair weather rider. Not sure about the spray or the dark, but I...

Goodbye ugly mirrors, hello Rear View Camera

. First the video for anyone who is merely curious, followed by a detailed explanation for those more interested in the project. Note that the image on the phone screen is clearer in real life than how my helmet cam captured it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TtAhhrgU5c In the long list of...

    Ermax Tail Tidy

Have to agree with sdrio. You simply can't deny that you're increasing the risk to yourself. It makes you wonder about all the motor vlogs on YouTube though. A casual viewer has access to 1000's of car/bike number plates matched to a vehicle just by watching these videos.

    flashing red dash light

Yeah it's normal. P3-5 in the owners manual explains it, as has Ralph above.

Anyone else noticed this new phenomenon with gopro's / other cameras?

Findings from my first day riding with an action cam: I rode exactly the same :p

Yeah +1 for a very useful thread.

Anyone else noticed this new phenomenon with gopro's / other cameras?

It's an amazing coincidence that this thread has woken up today because earlier today I finally fitted my SJ4000 (cheap GoPro) to my helmet. I will be riding my usual commute tomorrow morning so I'll report back here tomorrow evening as to whether it has made me a better or worse rider :p I...

    Destroyed LCD

Yeah, I already got them replaced under warranty. Steering clear of that product now! Sorry ReGo, I didn't mean to hijack the thread away from the LCD screen, I just thought it was worth mentioning other chemicals that certain parts of the MT-07 is allergic to

    Destroyed LCD

Another chemical to stay clear of on the MT-07 is SDoc100. It ruined the finish on the two black water pipes near the clutch assembly.

    SC Project Exhaust fitted

A decent socket wrench (perhaps with a universal joint***) to remove and re-fit the header nuts. You won't have to remove anything like the radiator, etc. A bit of lithium grease to hold the gaskets in place whilst you offer up the header pipes. Just make sure everything lines up as you secure...
