MT-07 Exhaust Sound & Essential Mods

Well after long long deliberation I've gone and ordered myself the S C Project (after ordering 2wks back should be delivered this coming week ?!) For me personally it's the best looking exhaust out there. Looks like it was made for the bike where-as some others do look aftermarket (only my...

    New MT 07 launched

Have to agree - it's a bit "loud and tacky" in my opinion! But that's just mine lol :-)

    Abba stand

I can second that as mine arrived today too. I did take out the black covers to experiment and only the left side adaptor will fit! As TJ said its really easy just to take the aluminium covers off. The stand (with the front end lift arm to lift bike completely off the ground) is perfect for...

No just the filter, if you use the box too it will also need a power commander. Which all in is around another £500 big ones!!!

    DNA filter

Will update when I've found out! UPDATE - bike has had Dyno-run done today & there is no issue with the mixture after installing DNA filter. Print out shows a smooth curve and max 65.7 bhp & 44.75 ft/lb at the wheel! Obviously quite a lot less than Yamaha claim at the crank, but it does run...

    DNA filter

As long as mixture is ok it's certainly a cheaper way of increasing performance and sound - if only a little, but still sounds better :-)

    DNA filter

Well I'm going to take bike down to my dealer in the morning and ask them to do a dyno run to see if its running ok or to lean/rich and then take things from there regarding new exhaust. Will keep you posted!

    DNA filter

Hi livestrong thanks foe that. Have just put new filter in - as you said fairly easy to do - and have noticed an increase in power, but also the stock exhaust is quite a bit louder!! (Which is no bad thing lol) Did it make a difference to yours?

    DNA filter

HI all, has anyone (or know somebody) fitted the DNA air filter yet. If so have you noticed any increase in performance & was it awkward to fit? Seems like it would need the tank removing?! Any advice or threads would be great - many thanks :-)

Hi all has anyone fitted the DNA air filter to their bike. If so did you notice any performance gain - without having to re-map - and was it awkward to fit.? Seems like you need to take the tank off?! Any advise or threads would be great, many thanks :)
