Gear Downshift issues. Any ideas please !!!

Use better quality oil than Yamalube... Bel-Ray EXS10w-40 is a nice option for silky shifting even the way 6-5-4-3-2-N.. often clutch cable free play needs adjustment.. with a lot of free play the gearbox its "clanky" and the clutch don't isolate totally.

    2 technical questions

    1) I'm on 23.500km still on stock pads. Seems that the rear may be changed with genuine at next oil change (25.000km), the front has had about the half wear so are OK for the winter. The best is to do pads and fluids changes together so you can check the pad's wear visually on the botlles as the...

    New from the Midlands

Correct. In greek language "armour"/"armor" refairs (for example) to bulletproof vehicles that offers passengers protection. So wish you to be "bulletproof" and to your engine/bike too. You see... there is always an inspiration when we chating about MTs, even for their colors!

    Newbie

Welcome! Start with the suspension tuning and your bike will become more enjoyable and safe.. a cheap and easy way is to mode a ZX10R '08-'10 rear shock and Ohlins (or other) front's springs (90kg/cm instead of stock wich they are 75kg/cm). Then spend your money on tyres

    New mt?

I'm feeling that is for the new MT-03... powered by the 2cyllinder engine of R3 instead of the "old" MT-03 with the thumper engine of XT660 (Motori Minarelli) take a look at this: 2016 Yamaha MT-03 Gets Confirmed by Japan - Asphalt & Rubber

    MT-09 Trike - Interesting

+1 agreed with that point of view.. MWT is not targeting on bikers. Can-Am, Honda Neowing (Goldwing's engine), Kawasaki J-Concept (from 2013) and Rolaris Slingshot are "brides" for new customers. The fact that Yamaha choose to use the triple's engine and components is for economy of scale..

Changing the CO settings in the DIAG menu

So, i've put CO 14 at the 3 cylinders, the procedure was very quick and easy as shown in videos. When engine started i realize immediatelly a change at motor's noise as warming up. It has more "bass" as before... I ride it in STD mode for about 40km in a curvy seaside road and i wasn't...

    MT-09 Trike - Interesting

No matter if we love 2 wheels we have to admit that is a honour for 09 triple engine to be used on a concept. iI feel that Yamaha trying with this effort (MWT-09) to make the fastest triple-scooter and smash the European, Koean and Japanese competition. Personally i don't like scooters and...

Changing the CO settings in the DIAG menu

Mr B suggests +6 after installing hi-flow filter and +14 if a free zorst is putted. As for the mixture... "better richer than leaner". I' ve putted a DNA air filter since the bike has had 6.000km (now has 22.000+) and ride it till today at -0- CO setting, but i think its time for testing... a...

    Collected the MT-09 this morning

I got my bike with Dunlop Sportmax D214 and kept them on bike for 9.696 km, i change them for PR4s before the tyre wear indicators touch the tarmac. I ran them in std pressure 36/42. For these tyres i have to say that were more stable at 224-225km but a bit scary on wet. PR4s are fantastic...
