That's a bit of a grey area because there's no law as such as to how loud an exhaust can be. i.e on an MOT it's down to the discretion of the tester. Same as when a police officer stops you he can only tell you to put it back in

No there's no point mapping a bike for the baffle out then putting it back in because it won't perform the same

Scorpions and FZ8's go well together. I took the cat out of mine as well. Very loud On a serious note... Every 09 with an Akraprovic fitted that we've flashed or mapped has always had the baffle out because it performs way better but I get your point on the horse situation

This chart shows the Akra Carbon with baffle fitted, against the Akra Titanium with baffle out, Very similar power output

Hi Steve. For some reason Yamaha have gone all anal on us with regards to parts. I don't think they like the fact we're changing the bikes to make them look better

Yes we have seen up near the 60's. Mainly around 56-58 I think. And that's from doing around 90 Dyno runs with all the taps wide open. It's a bloody good little engine to be honest.
