    change chain for MT09

AFAM and Sun-Star now produced front sprockets with rubber ring on.. In my case the oem sprockets are like new, they don't seem to have some wear at 28K km.

Hello and ahhhh I can't decide, help

I rode the new model with TC and i felt that is tammed compare to the first versions. Avoid to buy the new... A mode in new is like STD mode in olders. Get the cheapest if it's equipped with ABS (is a "must" IMO if you riding on slippery roads).

    ABS intrusion

ABS saves me everyday ! It's matter of time to get it used. When it's "working" keep braking.. don't let the brakes when it "kicks".

    engine cut out

If it was from the key then the dash panel must be switched-off... otherwise it may caused from "dirty" fuel. It has happened once in mine and it caused from the key.

New MT09 TC is not good.

I rode the '16 versions of MT-09 when "MT-Tour' arrived in Athens... i was very dissapointed from the "behaviour" of Traction-Control when i gave full throtle in 2nd gear testing the Street Tracker. The engine cut-off 5 times as i was keeping the throtle fully open. i was hearing something like...

    change chain for MT09

Keep the OEM sprockets (if they are in good condition) and put a better quality chain than oem d.i.d. z10... At 28K km i' d change only the shity chain for a AFAM XSR 7" 525 which cost me 90 euros. The oem chain kit costs here 140 euros (chain & sprockets)... but i didn't like to put the "easy...

Jury Still Out - Only 400 Miles

I did more than 100.000km on my previous DL650V-Strom and i find your statement very very rare... The lower rpm are full of torque in MT-09 engines. Maybe the fuel injection bodies of your bike need correct adjustment/synchronization, this must happened at 1st service according manual. Then, you...

    Chain life question

    Chain life question

After 28K km it's time to put a new chain. OEM d.i.d. chain has 2 knots and stretched abruptly after riding with pilion.. I decide to keep the OEM sprockets and put a AFAM 525 XSR 7" heavy duty gold chain. My question is "How many links has the oem chain ???" Please, i need someone to keep an...

I agree... just the fact that he suggested me to do the free yam remap and then to have his "option" is strange... From his words i understood that doing a remap with stock zorst is worthless.. Thank you very much for the responces P.S. don't worry Fizzy i'm not a spy and i don't have any...

So, today i have a chat with the remap's "dealer".. 1st he suggest me to go for the free Yamaha ECU remap update because -as he said- it's correcting the map and reducing snatchiness at around 6K rpm for 5% (allthough i can't say that i' ve never felt this).. Then, when we talk about the options...

    Hi temp Light

As now "everything sounds good" when engine is on i have to say that you are lucky enough... Don't worry but you must find out what kind of object had injured your radiator...just to avoid to happen again. It's difficult to happend without loud noise... my radiator hash't any protective cover...

Thanks TT, as i read in comments a real speed about 252km is possible to achieve on the road but the "wind factor" is critical at this high speed. i've already have send him a e-mail and ask about their prices... i'll keep you informed.. P.S. thanks to you and this Forum i got enough knowledge...

What do you think about this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnuPa7c69lg The guy is an Aprilia dealer in Greece... Unfortunately Simon is too far away so this could be an alternative but i don't know if it's faith and safe..
